Lecture at the conference "Safety of IT Systems" Print E-mail

We are proud to inform you that Sofrecom Polska's consultant - Jerzy Oleksieiwcz, Sofrecom's architect and our expert in identity and access management (IAM) was asked to have a presentation during the conference entitled "Safety of IT Systems", that happened in Warsaw on the 6th of April 2011.


During the conference Sofrecom Polska's consultant gave out information about the newest trends in the IAM field and also talked about his professional experience in implementing solutions that have the objective to centralize identity and access management of systems.

The benefits of implementation of such services are hard to downplay. Among them are:

  • The centralization of information about accounts and permissions of users - as an answer to safety audits (like SOX) and other needs to verify or recertify permissions;
  • Reduction of costs thanks to automation of operations on accounts, among them the resetting of passwords - this reduces the number of Service Desk orders;
  • The digitalization of applications flow - as a tool that enables a higher level of security and efficiency of the company;
  • Simplification of business processes by providing the function of a "connector" between the business possibilities of the user and the technical permissions he/she has in each system;
  • Automation of the full (or chosen stages) of the life cycle of identity, from the employment (Joiner), through the change of role (Mover), till leaving (Leaver);
  • Supporting the process of exchanging information between source and managed systems.
